The Stanford Method of Smoking Cessation
"I Know Smoking Is Unhealthy, Why Can't I Quit?"

The Stanford Method’s Smoking Cessation Program is designed to help smokers who have the desire to quit, end their dependency comfortably and without experiencing cravings, irritability or weight gain.

Clients report a wonderful sense of freedom, an increased breathing capacity and better circulation. They also notice an improvement of their health overall and a tremendous sense of accomplishment.

A comprehensive wellness program, our Smoking Cessation sessions can also help clients manage stress in a healthier manner. Clients report that they sleep better, choose healthier food, drink more water and many begin in
corporating exercise into their lives.  These new, healthier patterns contribute to their overall well-being and longevity.

Our approach is psychological.  Using a combination of clinical hypnosis and cognitive therapy, old triggers to smoke are blocked and new, more appropriate behaviors are established.

In a personal session, clients may choose to quit after one session or may choose to slowly taper off cigarettes.   (Group sessions are designed for immediate cessation right after the second hour of the
class.)

Personal sessions can be customized to fit the clients' individual needs and are recorded on audio CD for follow up at home.  (Group session participants receive
a pre-recorded CD for follow up at home.)
